EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EMO)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Completion of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) courses:
IS-100, IS-700, IS-701, IS-706, and IS-800 in accordance with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training Program; 2) Using technology skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues with emergency management systems, equipment and software applications; 3) Managing an EOC and the associated incident management team's use of IT-related technology; 4) Using concepts, principles, and practices of emergency management and homeland security to complete work assignments; 5) Analyzing and evaluating methods and techniques used in emergency response to present recommendations and conclusions for improvement; 6) Managing and coordinating preparation measures for threats of man-made and natural disasters; and 7) Producing spreadsheets and presentations to routinely facilitate training, data analysis, and emergency management communications. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
