AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Must possess a Universal Certification received from an EPA certifying program. You must submit a copy of your certification to be considered. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is the ability to perform the duties of an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic with out more than normal supervision as demonstrated by the following:
1) Repairing and maintaining a variety of domestic and commercial refrigeration and heating, ventilation and air conditioning units and systems, 2) Testing small units and systems using compound refrigeration gauges and ammeters to locate worn and broken parts, 3) Selecting and obtaining appropriate materials and replacement parts, and 4) Inspecting and observing equipment for proper operation, oil levels, cycling, overheated bearings, and unusual noises.
