Ability to do the work of a Utility System Operator under normal supervision performing duties such as:
1) Independently making scheduled checks of gauges and meters, maintaining repairs, and making operational adjustments to potable water systems to assure compliance with state and federal health standards; 2) Collecting water samples, performing microbiological test analysis, and introducing chemical agents to keep the water to acceptable quality standards; and 3) Following chemical procedures to independently treat industrial waste. The WG-10 has a required certification. 1. State of California D2 Water Distribution Operator (or must obtain D2 within 7 months of appointment) 2. State of California T2 Water Treatment Operator (or must obtain T2 within 7 months of appointment) 3. State of California W1 Waste Water Operator (or must be able to obtain within 18-24 months of appointment) WG:
