NURSE (EDUCATION/HEALTH PROMOTION)
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience providing comprehensive nursing care, identifying patient care goals, and formulating plans to meet patient care needs; Experience developing and teaching basic health and wellness counseling, nursing care consultations, and referrals to promote optimal health care for patients; Experience providing counseling, guidance and instructions to patients and families on plan of care, health screenings, and lifestyle modifications such as tobacco cessation and nutrition; Experience planning and conducting in-service training sessions for staff personnel on trends in population health and health prevention programs.
