QE Manager II

Overview
The Quality Execution Manager is the inspirational leader and subject matter expert for the Hold & Release and Laboratory functions within quality at the Lemoore, CA West plant. The Quality Execution Manager ensures that policies and procedures established by QA are carried out effectively in the plant. The successful functioning of critical control systems within the plant (sampling, analytical testing, product grading, Quality Alert handling, hold and release procedures, GMPs, housekeeping standards, etc.) are some of the tools that will define your success.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Help champion the Plant's Quality programs, processes and systems to ensure that plant performance meets or exceeds company-wide expectations.
Report to the plant Quality Execution Director and partner closely with Production Departments and Corporate QA to strengthen the quality process within the facility.
Establish self as a business partner with cross-functional partners by actively helping them identify and solve quality opportunities, providing assistance with implementing systems to prevent recurrence.
Drive core people development processes within the Quality Execution department, such as hiring and promoting for success, technical/functional training, leadership development, and performance management.
Educate plant personnel on, and assure the plant is compliant with Quality Systems, including record keeping, laboratory execution and product grading, quality alert activities, hold and release protocols and COA compliance.
Identify opportunities before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventative action.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related fields.
Eight (8) years of quality or production management experience in the food, dairy, or pharmaceutical industry.
A strong knowledge of HACCP/FSMA preventative controls.
Preferred Qualifications:
Quality or production experience within the dairy industry.
SQF practitioner.
Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI).
Extensive knowledge of quality assurance standards, food laboratory testing methods and operations, and statistical process control techniques.
Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience.
Experience leading and inspiring large teams (20+).
Experience with leading and/or supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives e.g. Kaizen, Standard Work, 5S Program, Process Mapping and Project Management.
Strong knowledge of sanitation programs and practices.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
