Product Repair/Mod Tech C

Responsibilities:

  • Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes.
  • Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required to do the job, such as drill guide bushings, drill guide blocks, micrometers, calipers, scales, no-go gauges, cold working, cold bonding, basic electrical wiring and common drilling hand tools
  • Assemble and fit detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensure parts/assembly meet requirements.
  • Read work orders and company process spec procedures to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern
  • Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection with high importance on first time quality
  • Align and assemble parts to be riveted using or moving jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners
  • Work under moderate to no supervision on duties and tasks

Qualifications

  • Required willing and able to travel on short notice to domestic and/or international locations for various amounts of time, at leadership s discretion.
  • Required able to obtain Secret clearance.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, technical manuals & orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
  • Experienced in the use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts.
  • Able to identify, clean, and treat corrosion
  • Able to perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas.
  • Able to locate blind holes for installing new structural items to existing structure.
  • Able to read and interpret basic blueprints
  • Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions
  • Must have good personal skills, which include an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, a professional attitude, attention to detail, ability to work with people and to meet demanding schedules.
  • Able to work with or sand composite fibers, resins, materials, aircraft sealants, paints, and hazardous materials such as aircraft fuel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs also be able to climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas, stand for up to 10 hrs a day
  • Knows safety practices & procedures; maintains safety & good housekeeping

U. S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
