Security Guard
Lemoore, CA Lemoore, CA $17 - $19 an hour $17 - $19 an hour Under the direct supervision of the Surf Ranch Security Supervisor, the Security Guard at Surf Ranch will work to keep Surf Ranch safe and secure at all times.
This position will be responsible for ensuring the flow of vehicles and patrons that arrive and depart Surf Ranch daily.
The Surf Ranch Security Guard must have a thorough understanding of the Surf Ranch property lines and all entrances and exits on site.
The Security Guard must understand areas of the property that are less secure than others and to monitor those areas accordingly.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Interface with guests and employees as they enter Surf Ranch through the service and main entrances.
Ensure that waivers and all other documentation needed to come on site by Vendors or guests are completed.
Patrol Surf Ranch and do sweeps on a consistent basis.
Monitor the perimeter fence throughout the day and night.
Intervene and resolve security threats or issues as they arise.
Provide friendly interactions with Surf Ranch staff, vendors, and guests Assist with overnight accommodation check in and out processes.
Understand the Surf Ranch property lines, easements etc.
Understand the Surf Ranch security/ emergency evacuation plan.
Assist in monitoring overall guest safety and safe use of bikes, e-bikes, and other guest amenities Ensure staff members are following protocol on checking out radios, the suburban, entering/exiting the property, parking areas, etc Ensure a clean working area both in and outside of the Security building Consistently monitor cameras and report any unsafe behaviors or security concerns Act as the shipping and receiving POC for the property.
Ensure Surf Ranch vehicles that are guest facing are in good working order Knowledge and understanding of facility locations.
All other duties as assigned Experience and Qualifications Ability to resolve conflict when necessary Ability to activate the 911 system and request local law enforcement if necessary Ability to work different hours of the day including overnight shifts Basic Security training Prior Security experience preferred Personal Attributes Team player Action Oriented--enjoys working hard and looks for challenges; able to act and react as necessary Friendly and positive attitude.
Able to interface with guests on a regular basis Working Conditions / Physical requirements (if applicable) Physically able to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 75 pounds or less.
The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
